With how much the aftermarket industry has grown in the past 5 years it has become more difficult to make your vehicle stand out from the rest. Door conversions or as often referred to as Lambo doors,Vertical doors,Diablo doors,Gullwing doors or Suicide doors. Suicide doors have been around since the twenties and have appeared and reappeared over the years in the aftermarket world. Recently they have reappeared with the craze of Lambo style doors and Gullwing doors. Weld on kits are the most durable and reliable. Steer clear of the many bolt on kits on the market that utilize the factory mounting positions for mounting the aftermarket hinge. The factory hinge placement is neither reinforced nor intended to handle the torque and additional weight added to it by putting the door up and out away front the vehicle. These kits over time are usually susceptible to fatigue or "sag" causing problems with door alignment and in some cases actually falling off the vehicle.
