Airbagit began over 30 years ago, like many successful companies, in a modest garage. In 2022, under new ownership, we ushered in a new era: Airbagit 2.0—a commitment to innovation, precision, and an even greater dedication to our customers.

Our journey into the suspension industry began in 1992, when we expanded our product line and rebranded as Chassis Tech to reflect our growing expertise. This milestone was accompanied by significant investment in state-of-the-art manufacturing, including over $12 million in CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality spindles and fabricated components from raw metals.

By 1997, we had solidified our presence with the purchase of our 3.5-acre facility, featuring over 100,000 square feet of production and operational space. Our pioneering spirit led us to groundbreaking achievements, including being the first company to outfit a vehicle with air suspension on all four wheels in 1994. This innovation earned industry-wide recognition, with our custom-built yellow Dodge Ram becoming a featured vehicle at SEMA and appearing in SEMA’s 1995 advertising campaign.

In 2002, we continued to break new ground with a patented AirStrut design that seamlessly replaced MacPherson struts, cementing our role as a leader in air suspension engineering.
